Run, walk and celebrate in Treasure Beach while supporting breast cancer awareness and vital screening services.
The Women With a Purpose 5K Run/Walk & Breakfast Party brings together runners, walkers, families and supporters for an inspiring morning of fitness, friendship and community spirit in Treasure Beach, Jamaica.
Organised by the JK Breast Cancer Foundation, this annual charity event raises awareness of breast cancer while supporting access to important screening services for individuals in need. Set against the welcoming atmosphere of Jamaica’s South Coast, the event encourages people of different ages and fitness levels to come together for a meaningful cause.
More than a traditional road race, Women With a Purpose combines physical activity with celebration, offering participants an opportunity to make a difference while enjoying the warmth, hospitality and community spirit of Treasure Beach.
Participants can choose to run or walk the five-kilometre route through the Treasure Beach community.
The course provides an opportunity to enjoy the area’s distinctive coastal atmosphere while joining fellow participants in support of breast cancer awareness.
Whether you’re an experienced runner or prefer a leisurely walk, the emphasis is on participation, encouragement and supporting a worthwhile cause.
At the heart of Women With a Purpose is a commitment to raising awareness and encouraging access to breast cancer screening.
Proceeds support the charitable work of the JK Breast Cancer Foundation, including assistance with mammogram examinations for eligible individuals.
By participating or supporting the event, visitors can contribute to efforts that make an important difference in the lives of people affected by breast cancer.
Pink is an important symbol of the event, representing breast cancer awareness, solidarity and support.
Participants traditionally gather in pink clothing, creating a colourful and uplifting atmosphere along the route.
The event brings together community members, families, friends, schools and supporters who share a commitment to making a positive difference.
Following the run and walk, participants can enjoy a celebratory breakfast gathering.
The breakfast party provides an opportunity to relax, socialise and celebrate the morning’s achievements while enjoying the friendly atmosphere of Treasure Beach.
Food, refreshments and other inclusions depend on the registration package selected.
Women With a Purpose welcomes families and supporters, making it a meaningful activity for visitors travelling together.
Younger participants, parents and grandparents can share in the atmosphere, whether taking part in the walk or cheering on friends and family.
It’s an opportunity to combine a memorable Jamaican experience with support for an important charitable cause.
Women With a Purpose is traditionally held during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, with recent editions taking place over Jamaica’s National Heroes’ Day holiday weekend.
